Welcome to Moss Valley Farms

Moss Valley Farms is located in beautiful North Eastern Pennsylvania. We’re turning a 150+ year old farm into something amazing, using old techniques and technology to bring balance and restore the land naturally.

We have a heirloom variety apple orchard, and all the produce we grow is completely natural, zero sprays or chemicals of any kind. The plan is to expand the orchard to over 300 trees, as well as have a sizable pick your own pumpkin patch, and eventually pick your own berries.

Restoring the Farm

It’s a really huge project, and I’ve already been working on it for some time now.

After fencing in the garden with an 8′ deer fence to eliminate crop damage, and working on some of the buildings, I plan on integrating both solar and wind power into the farm. I already created the custom electronic control systems using  Raspberry Pi and Arduino micro-controllers, and custom programing to automate things around the farm.

Eventually I’d like to have virtually all of the functions of the greenhouse automated, and even have sensors in the garden to measure soil moisture to help manage crop watering.
